Bowie Tupou (14-0) vs. Otis Tisdale (25-20-1) Heavyweight bout
Tupou dominated the fight knocking down Tisdale three times in the 2nd round. Tisdale from nearby New Haven, Conn is journeyman heavyweight. He has fought Michael Moorer, John Ruiz and Nikolay Valuev.
Tupou is from Tongo and fights out of Australia. He is an intimidating figure and looks to be a force in the heavyweight division. The only problem is that he so completely overmatched Tisdale that little is still known about this up and coming heavyweight.
Sergio Martinez (42-1-1) vs. Archak TerMeliksetian (16-6) Super Welterweight
Martinez from Argentina, came into the fight the 2nd ranked WBC super welterweight. Early on TerMeliksetian from Armenia was landing some shots to Martinez. It was clearly Martinez's fight after the first two rounds.
In the seventh round, Martinez knocked down TerMeliksetian two times. The 2nd time it was a straight right that sealed the fight as Martinez won via TKO.
Melissa Fiorentino vs. Melissa Hernandez (Super Featherweights)
Clearly the fight that most excited the crowd. Hernandez entered the ring dancing and looking to put on a show. Fiorentino was the more known fighter coached by Peter Manfredo Sr.
In the third round Hernandez landed a shot to the eyebrow of Fiorentino which opened up a cut. Fiorentino seemed bothered by the cut, constantly trying to wipe the blood away.
After 30 seconds, the referee stopped the fight. Hernandez wins this one via TKO.
