Williams Scores Early TKO of Quintana

Paul Williams (33-1) vs. Carlos Quintana (25-1) current WBO Welterweight champion

This is a rematch of a Feb. 9th battle in which Quintana won by decision and out boxed Williams. The Rocky Music is played as Quintana enters the ring.

Williams is booed as he is announced. Quintana is definitely the crowd favorite, especially amongst the Latino fans.

Williams has a significant size advantage at 6’1, while Quintana stands just 5’9

Williams knocks down Quintana in the first round with a vicious right hand, he then stuns Quintana with a left. He knocks out Quintana early in the first round. Quintana was not covering up . This is a huge surprise as Quintana had gone the distance with Williams, winning the first fight. Williams was over powering tonight and one wonders how he lost the previous matchup. One also wonders how that fight went the full 12 rounds.

It is announced at 2:15 into round 1 Winner by TKO and once again the WBO Welterweight champion is Paul ‘The Punisher’ Williams.
